Heuer Autavia 1163V 'Viceroy'

Vintage Heuer chronographs are renown for their history in racing, and at the center of that you find the 1163 'Viceroy'. This watch has a very interesting story with its marketing, while the 'normal' Autavia was $220 at the time, the Viceroy was part of a promotion with the Viceroy cigarette company where the end flap on the cigarette carton had a coupon to get the watch for only $88. This example comes from ~'75-'76 indicated by the serial number. It is in good condition, with light scratching across the case and the crystal. Everything seems to be correct to this 1163V, however the crystal features an inner cyclops which was likely replaced sometime in the past. The band and buckle are branded Heuer, however are not original to this watch. Overall, this is a very clean example of one of the most influential Heuer chronos of the era.
